In June of 2005, Sierra Dreams Press was founded in Auburn, California by Stuart Rawlings and Jane Roach. Our
mission is to help new artists, musicians and writers to become published, recorded and promoted.
SDP’s first products were Another Messiah (a utopian novel addressing challenges in today’s world), My Favorite
Quotations, Volumes 1-6 (selected poems and sayings on many subjects), Life is a Treasure (a CD of songs written and
performed by Stuart), and Auburn USA (a CD by the singing quartet, the Auburnaires). In the past three years, SDP has
produced two books on Auburn’s Creative People (2007 and 2008), Volume 7 of My Favorite Quotations, and another
Auburnaires CD entitled Christmas in Auburn.
In 2009, SDP introduced a series of four children’s books (Monster in the Cave, Lollipop Lake, Stories from Around
Home, and What Is It?) It also published a memoir by Lila Guerrero called Love Interrupted.
Last year (2010), SDP produced a two-part musical CD by Stuart Rawlings called Memories, in which he looked back
on his musical past, and sang classics from Louis Armstrong, Elvis Presley, Bob Dylan, the Beatles and other artists. The
Auburnaires joined him on half the songs, and some of the other music was taken from his experiences in places like Brazil,
Israel, Togo, Viet Nam and Zaire. This the twentieth item for sale on this website, and the fourth CD.
Also, for the first time on this website, there are two new YouTube videos: Austin’s Dream starring Austin Rawlings,
and Lucky Man with Stuart Rawlings and the Auburnaires.
Looking ahead, the world continues to challenge us in many ways, but art and music can always be found to cheer us
up, inspire us, make us laugh, and lead us in new positive directions.
Best wishes to you in 2011!!
